Meet the Fall '16 SW Crew

Say Hi to Christine! “Earlier this year, I left my career in healthcare to follow my passion for animal rights. After doing a three month internship at Farm Sanctuary in Watkins Glen, NY, I began seeking out further work in outreach and activism and discovered the 10 Billion Lives tour. I've been vegan for 8 years and am so thrilled to be able to combine my ethics and passions with my work. And being from Buffalo, I'm also looking forward to that amazing So-Cal food I've heard so much about!”

Welcome aboard, Cristina! “I got my start in animal rights advocacy as a member of Irvine Students Against Animal Cruelty at UC Irvine. Shortly after graduating, I joined PETA on their college campaign tour in the fall of 2015, which gave me the opportunity to speak up for animals in over 20 states (and parts of Canada!). I can't wait to do the same in my home state of California with FARM!”

The Southwest Tour has gotten off to a stellar start! After just two days of events Christine D. and Cristina T. have spoken with nearly five hundred students at De Anza College in Cupertino who watched our hard hitting 4-minute documentary about how animals are raised and slaughtered for food. The student's responses overall were extremely compassionate and grateful that we were out there spreading our educational message of kindness to animals and eating healthy. The SW Tour will be in the Bay area for a couple more days before heading down the central coast and to Southern California.
