CHOICE is making major headway in CA, NY & FL!CHOICE is also pleased to announce that we are currently working with activists in New York and Florida to introduce Healthy School Lunch legislation in these two states. This legislation will request schools to provide veg options daily in schools. Chas Chiodo has offered to work with CHOICE to head up the effort in Florida, and Rosemary Benedict, of the Ful-Mont Veg Group in Johnstown, New York has offered to head up a similar effort in New York. Many activists, encouraged by the California success have come forward to assist these activists in both states. If you are interested to get involved, or head up a similar effort in your state, contact CHOICE by phoning 1-877-6CHOICE or emailing info@choiceusa.net. CHOICE would like to welcome Barbara Gates of Project Healthy Beginnings to our team. Barbara, who spearheaded ACR 16, the Healthy School Lunch resolution, which passed through the California State Assembly last spring, will be working with CHOICE activists to introduce similar legislation across the county and support follow up efforts in California. A heartfelt thanks to event coordinators everywhere who joined together to expose, memorialize, and mitigate the tragic and unnecessary animal suffering in the world's factory farms & slaughterhouses. Featured events of WFAD 2003 were cage-ins and video screenings. Working in collaboration with PETA’s campaign against fast food giant, Kentucky Fried Chicken, WFAD participants were also asked to choose local KFC outlets as the location for their demonstrations. Stay tuned, as a detailed events report is forthcoming. Click here for the WFAD website | ||
