World Farm Animals Day Plan Begins

Get a headstart on planning your activities for World Farm Animals Day on October 2nd, the one day a year when all activists are conscience-bound to express their outrage at the treatment of animals in factory farms and slaughterhouses.

For the 23rd annual observance, activists in hundreds of communities will leaflet, set up information tables, and show undercover footage of factory farm atrocities in their communities. Others will conduct slaughterhouse vigils or hunger strikes locked in cages to dramatize the conditions of farmed animals. More than two dozen countries will take part.

Sabina Fund Needs Your Help

Since 1999, we have awarded grants to more than 100 groups in the U.S. and 30 other countries. The FARM Sabina Fund has received two dozen grant applications from grassroots groups promoting veganism, mostly in developing countries. We would like to provide them small grants of $500-$1,000 for their worthy projects, but we cannot do it without your help.

If you choose to sponsor a group's project with a donation of $500 or more, we will send you the group's proposal and subsequent report with photos. We will gratefully accept and pool smaller contributions to provide additional grants.

Please visit the Sabina Fund website for more photos and a listing of proposed projects. To make a contribution, please visit our Online Donation Form and choose the Sabina Fund as the program you wish to support.
