Dozens of Meatout Events Posted
Nearly
50 events in 22 states
and 6 countries
are already posted on
the Meatout Events page. At
this pace, this 20th
anniversary
observ-ance of the world's
largest annual grassroots
diet education campaign
will set a new global
record.
Join thousands of animal and consumer activists in all 50 states and 30 other countries in organizing outreach events that get your friends and neighbors to explore a wholesome, nonviolent diet of vegetables, fruits, and grains! A typical person who drops meat and dairy from his/her diet prevents the suffering and death of nearly 2000 innocent, sentient animals in factory farms and slaughterhouses.
Hold an event (large or small) on or around March 20... you decide. Visit our Action Center for ideas. We provide instructions, display and handouts materials, media, and the online Events Directory. You provide a few hours and a lot of heart for the animals.
Organize a Meatout
Walk to raise funds that will expand the reach of Meatout campaigns and increase vegetarian awareness in your community. We have awesome prizes for organizers. Check details on the Meatout
Walk page.
Please register your event even if your plans are incomplete (you can update anytime). Visit the Registration page or call 800-MEATOUT. You can then request an Event Pack with an official Meatout banner, color posters, handouts, stickers and more!
FARM Aids Indian Tsunami Victims
FARM's supporters contrib-uted more than $6,000 toward the tsunami relief effort conducted in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu by several grassroots coalitions supported by FARM's Sabina Fund. The funds were used for purchasing and distributing food, drinking water, clothing, and blankets. Although reports on the tsunami disaster have vanished from TV newscasts and front pages of our newspapers, the need has not diminished.
Please make your contributions online to Tsunami Relief and designate for Sabina Fund, or send a check to Tsunami Relief, 10101 Ashburton Lane, Bethesda, MD 20817.
